Created by Frederic BALAND, Modified on Mon, 2 Jun at 4:27 PM by Frederic BALAND

To be able to login to ICC Case Connect powered by Opus 2 for the first time, an administrator must first create an account and assign a role to you.

You will then receive two emails:

1. An email headed “You have been added to Opus2 Platform” informing you of your account’s creation

2. An email headed “Update Your Account”, within which is a link over the text “Link to account update”. By clicking on that link, you will be redirected to the account registration process within a browser on the below page:

3. Click on “Click here to proceed”, which should send you to the MFA setup page, displaying a QR code.

Setting up your MFA application

An Authentication (MFA) app is mandatory to access the platform.

MFA strengthens security by combining a password with an MFA app. The account is tied to the device where the MFA app is installed, requiring it for login verification.

Note: QR or alphanumeric codes on setup pages change if refreshed or entered incorrectly. You must update your MFA app with the new code and remove old entries.

You may pick one of these 3 authentication apps to sign in:

Upon seeing the above screen, you can tie your account to your Authenticator app in 1 of two ways (this applies to both Android and iOS versions of Google Authenticator):

Scan QR code

Google Authenticator

Select the plus icon in the lower-right and then selecting “Scan a QR Code”, positioned next to an icon of a camera.

If this is selected, the app should almost immediately upon catching the QR code in-camera change and display a new entry for the account.

Microsoft Authenticator

Select the QR code icon in the lower-right. The app should then access the camera and allow you to scan the on-screen QR code and almost immediately upon catching the code in-camera change and display a new entry for the account.

FreeOTP

Select the plus button and then the QR code icon in the lower-right. The app should then access the camera and allow you to scan the on-screen QR code and almost immediately upon catching the code in-camera change and display a new entry for the account.

Manual entry

This involves first selecting “Unable to scan?” under the QR code (highlighted red above). This will display a screen like the below, with a long alpha-numeric code (redacted below):

Once on the above page, you should open the app, selecting the plus icon in the lower-right and then selecting “Enter a setup key”, positioned next to an icon of a keyboard.

There should be 2 fields to enter:

  • Code name – this being the label the user wishes to attach to the account so you  know which MFA code on the app is for what
  • Your key – this being the alphanumeric code from the above screenshot.

Select the QR code icon in the lower-right. The app should then access the camera and show a button at the end of the screen reading “Enter code manually” – select this and then “Other account” on the next page.

  • Account name– this being the label you wish to attach to the account so you know which MFA code on the app is for what
  • Secret Key – this being the alphanumeric code from the above screenshot.

FreeOTP

Select the plus button and then the pen icon in the lower-right. This will bring up a page with seven options in the following order:

  • Email – this is a memory aid for you to know what email address is attached to the entry
  • Text field - this is the label you wish to attach to the account, so you know which MFA code on the app is for what
  • Secret – this being the alphanumeric code from the above screenshot.
  • Type – set this to TOTP for “Time-based-one-time-password”
  • Digits – this should be left set to “6”
  • Algorithm – this should be changed to “SHA1”
  • Interval – this should be left set to 30

Once the above options have been completed, select Add Token and the entry should then appear on the app’s main page.

Final setup steps

After setting up your MFA, you should then be shown the Acceptable Use Policy for the platform:
